2023 Michael David Carmenere

As one of the six original red wine grapes cultivated in Bordeaux, France, Carmenere was once a blending wine in the Medoc region as it produced a deep red color on wines. However on its own and grown in the Lodi Appellation, this wine shows great depth with strong peppery notes, round Merlot-like fruit quality and a balanced, overall structure.

Tasting Notes
Sustainably farmed and produced from our estate vineyard located just a stone's throw from the winery crush pad, our 2023 Carmenere offers enticing aromas of red currant, vanilla bean and spice. Medium bodied with flavors of blackberry, tobacco and clove, this wine is carried through by a long, spice-inspired finish.
