This wine is something truly special. The grapes are harvested from the 135 year old dry-farmed Bechthold Cinsaut vineyard right here in Lodi. Our winemakers initially create two separate Rosé wines, in order to blend together the best of the two wine styles. The first style is an early harvest picking where they de-stem and press whole berries. This allows us to capture a nice swath of bright flavors and acidity which to bring the wine to life. The second style is known as Saignee- A wine making process that involves bleeding off a portion of red wine after the grape skins have had limited contact with the juice. Resulting in a juice that is a light pink, this brings a different set of flavors for the end wine result. The two styles are then married in a final blend that is comprised of the best aspects of both wines, resulting in one crisp, easy-sipping Rosé!
